It is a dangerous thing for any child, man or woman to be obstinate, hard to lead or mischievously unyielding. These are the attributes by which stubborn people are known. And God views the sin of stubbornness as the grave sin of idolatry and witchcraft. in I sam. 15: 23, he ranked stubbornness with iniquity and idolatry. Under Mosaic Law, any child considered stubborn by the parents was to be brought out and stoned to death. So you can understand how grave God views the sin of stubbornness [Deut. 21:18-21]Habitat 

The stories of some stubborn people also show that it is never well with them. Consider these: 

1.     Sodomities were stubborn and were consequently destroyed [ Gen. 19:24-26]

2.     Pharaoh was stubborn and punished greatly. Exodus 4 v 14

3.     Balaam was stubborn and perished with sinners

4.     Sons of Eli died due to stubbornness

CONSEQUENCE OF STUBBORNNESS

i.             It reduce one to a level of an idol worshipper 

ii.            It robs one of God’s protection

iii.          It brings God’s anger on people

iv.          It can lead to death
